Why Have Insurance?
Research shows that Australians are overwhelmingly optimistic about their financial future. This optimism is a key
driver behind Australia being the most underinsured of any developed country.
Many Australians simply don't have enough insurance, and some have none at all. It's a worrying thought when you consider
that approximately half of all working age Australians:
Have a level of death cover that would meet less than 60% of their family's basic needs in the event of their passing^.
Have a level of disability cover (taking into account both TPD and salary continuance) that would meet less than 20%
of their family's and their own needs in the event that they were injured/ill and rendered unable to work^.
There are many factors which affect the level of cover you need - our Insurance Needs Calculator can help you to calculate
what level of insurance is right for you.
